Netball

Registrations are now closed.

Students from Years 2-6 currently enrolled at Belair Primary School are eligible to play school netball which is organised by the Southern Area Junior Netball Association.

This is a volunteer run club, and your help is greatly appreciated – and is a necessity for our continued success. Parent assistance, as in previous seasons, will be required for coaching, time keeping and scoring. Please consider how you may be able to help in order to ensure a successful season for your children.

Season

Terms 2 and 3 

Age Requirements 

Must be in year 2.

Fees 

A season fee of $70 is applicable.

An administration fee of $30 per child is payable once per calendar year. This covers all sports played.

Game/Training Information 

Games are played on a home and away basis, either on a Friday afternoon or Saturday morning – dependant your grade/team, as follows:

Year 6 – Friday afternoon or Saturday mornings at 9am (based on grade/team)

Year 5 – Friday afternoon or Saturday mornings at 9am (based on grade/team)

Years 4 – Saturday mornings at 9am or 10am (based on grade/team)

Years 2, 3 – Saturday mornings at 10am (Netta Rules)

1 x training session at the school commencing in Week 1 of Term 2. The day and time of this training session is at the discretion of the individual team coaches.

Team Placement

Placements of players is determined by the netball co-ordinator. We endeavour to keep teams consistent should students play for a number of consecutive years, however this is entirely subject to the number of registrations received each season. We endeavour to have teams based on student year level, however this is not guaranteed.

Registration

Please complete the Online Registration and Medical Form no later than Friday 22nd March 2024. There can be no exceptions. If you do not register online by this date, you cannot be guaranteed a place on the team. The importance of getting nominations in on time is so that our complete nominated teams can be presented to SAJNA. Once our teams have been nominated SAJNA will not change them.
