Belair Junior Primary School co-located with Belair Primary School in 1997. The two Principals worked collaboratively and all facilities, resources and staff were shared across the Belair Schools’ campus.
The schools catered for over 500 students from Reception to Year 7. The campus operated as one school, housed in three brick buildings and two groups of wooden transportable buildings.
The Principals were responsible for routines and administration, the education program and the well-being of the staff and students. The schools shared one Site Improvement Plan. Staff training and development and many of the management roles were shared across the schools.
In 2013 the two schools amalgamated to become Belair Primary School catering for over 550 students from Reception to Year 6.
Staff members worked in teaching teams providing a wide range of skills and knowledge to support student learning.
